Fast by default, optimized on demand
A faster site,
without the busywork.
DPX slots into the request path — compressing and streaming everything from day one, optimizing the content you opt into, and caching the result so the heavy lifting only happens once.
Safe defaults · WebP + AVIF · Built on Cloudflare's Pingora
What it is
It sits in the path between your visitors and your site — and makes it optimize itself.
DPX receives the request, optimizes the response on the way out, and sends it on — built in Rust on Cloudflare's Pingora engine. Depending on how you run it, that's as your own server (DPX Hosting, DPX Engine) or as a proxy in front of the one you already have (DPX Turbo).
The lifecycle
From first request to always-fast.
Sits in front
DPX becomes the front door. It streams responses and compresses them with Brotli from the very first byte — so even before you enable a single optimization, your site is already as fast as a tuned nginx.
Optimizes once
When you opt a domain in, DPX minifies HTML/CSS/JS, converts images to WebP and AVIF, and subsets fonts — on the first request for each asset. On Hosting and Engine, where DPX shares a filesystem with your site, it also inlines critical CSS. It never rewrites your database or your files; the optimization is transparent, at the server.
Serves cached
The optimized result is stored in a two-tier cache — fast memory, backed by disk. Every later request is served straight from it. You can watch the response flip to X-DPX-Cache: HIT.
Managed & tuned
On DP hosting we enable DPX per domain, pick safe settings, and keep them tuned as your site changes — so you get the wins without the knobs.
Safe by design
Optimization can't surprise you.
DPX ships with content optimization OFF by default — streaming and Brotli-compressing everything, but never forcing a transform that could break a page. You turn features on per domain, deliberately. And because compression and caching are always on, DPX is never slower than what it's optimizing.
